Take a Break in Ashland

When a friend mentioned coming to Southern Oregon with his family for spring break I started compiling a list of suggestions of what to do, where to stay and a long list of must try restaurants. The list quickly grew to become this article. This article then grew and became a three part peek at many of the attractions, inns and restaurants that make Southern Oregon special. So if you are planing a trip to Southern Oregon for a vacation or a local looking for new things to do, here are some suggestions for enjoying this sunny southwestern corner of Oregon.

A Southern Oregon Thanksgiving

Christmas merchandise crowds the aisles at all the shops while festive yuletide decorations line the streets. It’s Christmas, or is it? Every year it gets earlier. Had I wanted to buy ornaments or even a plastic Christmas tree I could have done so before Halloween. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Christmas but when it starts two months early that’s just overkill. So, in honor of the autumn season and that seemingly forgotten holiday called Thanksgiving here are some suggestions as to how to get out and enjoy the pre- Christmas season.
